Who knew that they had such individual faces?! And that’s not all, did you know that they lay their eggs in or near water sometimes submerging themselves to put eggs on a good surface. But wait, did you know that while in the nymph form (before they leave the water to fly) they breath thru gills in their rectum and they move themselves rapidly by propelling water thru the anus! No, I’m not making this up! Straight out of Wikipedia!

This dragonfly is beautiful! Awesome coloring and a great capture! Well done. I shot a couple of them a few weeks ago but my shots aren’t as nice as yours.
Thanks, I refer to it as the “luck of the click”. Sometimes you miss, sometimes it’s right on target. All the more reason to click as often as possible!
