I don’t have an explaination for this sign and I have no clue what it means. It is on the street that surrounds the lake by my mother’s house in GA. We stood there laughing and shaking our heads at would could possibly be the strangest street sign I have ever seen. Does anyone know what this sign actually means?

I did some research and apparently it means that there are some very ill people in the area and to please have consideration and be as quiet as possible. I wonder how many people have to be ill in order for the sign to be posted? And, I wonder how you go about requesting the sign. Rather strange. I would not expect something like that in the US. Germany, yes, but not the US.
