This is another view of the Baker House. This view is of the Dog Trot. This style house was built so that the hounds could run through the house. The rooms are built on either side of the Dog Trot and the kitchen is a completely separate building. This is the way it was explained to me by the Great Grandson of the builder. Very interesting history lesson in Pasco County. I like how the light mirrors the roof and the floor.
This is the Baker House. It is the oldest home in Pasco County and quite historical. We visited this last weekend while attending the Pasco County Art Council’s annual attic sale. Most everything was sold out very early so we missed out on the sale but not on this historic monument in Pasco County. It was quite the hidden treasure.
