This image just presented itself to me. I was walking past my car and noticed how the body lines were converging. I thought it made for a cool image.
VW Bugs have always appealed to me because their front ends resemble faces. This is one that really stood out. He kind of has a relaxed, just hanging out look to him, don’t you think? Shh, maybe he’s going to sleep.
Here comes the RUST! This poor old bus had plenty of it. What you see here is an area of the roof around one of the skylight windows.
I was checking out this VW camper and as I peered inside I saw this sad little dog lying on the rear bed. I love the look of the dog against the 70′s plaid.
A little trivia for you. This is the back side of the Southgate shopping center’s huge sign. This plaza was used in the 1990 film Edward Scissorhands. Other scenes were shot right by my house!

Thought I’d share a few photos from my day out today. The morning started with an awe inspiring sunrise! It was amazing to witness the sun breaking through the rain clouds. Then I hit the VW show for a few hours. After that I cruised around down town Lakeland and found this lake that was filled with gulls, pelicans, ducks, geese, and swans. It was pretty amazing. It was HOT too! Wow! The bank thermometer registered 94 degrees! I’m glad to be home in the a/c! If you care to see any more shots from this adventure let me know. I didn’t want to overwhelm everyone so I’m only posting a few.

This was taken at the Lakeland VW Classic car show last year. I really like the colors and symmetry of these VW Things. By the way, the show is coming up again on March 16th. I’ll be there.
