Day 001: Ugh…Dad!!

12:00 am in Digital, Event, Family, Fill Flash, Florida, Nikon D50, People, Portrait, Project365, Tampa by Nicole Bennett

The tradition of shaking hands, giving kisses & hugs and well wishes at midnight is one that spans all races, cultures & ages. But a kiss from your dad when you are a teenager isn’t exactlly the “coolest” thing to receive. As you can tell by her face Brooke isn’t as festive as her father. But the tradition continues.

Monday Theme: Blocks

12:00 am in Architectural, Digital, Florida, Landscape, Long Exposure, Low Light, Monday Theme, Nighttime, Nikon D90, Safari, Tampa by Dorothy Sheehan

These are a couple of photos of blocks that I have. The blocks being the construction around the tracks. I used Adobe Lightroom for the first picture. This was a very peaceful place to be. I found this place by taking a wrong turn near the Tampa Performing Arts Center. There was no traffic or people. A great band was playing Pink Floyd “Comfortably Numb” a few blocks away. I set up the tripod, took some video (so I could hear the band at home) and these pics.

LetSleepingDogzz...

The photo is about texture and the jewel of an “evil” eye.
Listening to Rufus, the nasalmeister’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah’, before a selection of Daddy Louden tunes. Truly wonderful version of the song, but when Lenny did it the “yeuh” in title and rhyme was in your face …and i miss that.
