It’s been a crazy year and I know that I have been MIA when it comes to posting images. However, I plan to post a lot more frequently from now on! Also, my husband surprised me with this new amazing camera. It’s a Canon Rebel XTi with a Canon Zoom L Series EF lens (24-105mm). It has changed the way that I take photos and has increased my love of photography… so look forward to some shots from this past year.

Here is that storm about 30 minutes later. Although this is poor quality, I think you can kind of tell how dramatic the effect of the dark approaching cloud was. Pretty cool.

I was leaving Channelside at just the perfect time to catch this beautiful shot. I wish that I had a better camera because it is a little grainy. The sky was amazing! A storm was approaching from the water (as you can see the large cloud at the top of the photo). The sky was literally black behind me. I’ll post another shot of the approaching storm.

I haven’t had a lot of time to shoot lately, so I have been looking back in my albums. I love this little girl’s expression, as well as her beautiful look. You can definitely see her indian heritage in her face. We stopped in her neighborhood to play games and do a sidewalk show for the kids. I think about 200 showed up out of what seemed to be nowhere.

After several long work weeks and the amazing Florida spring weather emerging, I have VACATION on the brain and have been thinking a lot of escaping back to Los Cabos where my husband and I spent our Honeymoon. What an amazing place! I took this shot over the shoulder of a little girl who was on our snorkeling trip.

Davidson College is in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament!! I took this photo when I was a student, probably during the 04-05 season. I plan on doing a “Davidson Tribute” the next couple of days in honor of our amazing school and team. They play Wisconsin on Friday night. Go Wildcats!

Although it didn’t occur to me while I was taking this shot, looking at it now, there is so much room for reflection of the significance in this image. Thinking theologically, you’ve got an image that captures a picture of general revelation (God revealing Himself to men through nature) and special revelation (God revealing Himself through His Word, ie-the Bible). And I am sure you could even continue to read in to it. Hope you enjoy!
