I took this image years ago with my old Olympus OM-88. You can tell it was film by the big scratch right down the length of the image; the entire roll had a big scratch through it if I remember right. I tried cleaning up the noise and scratches a little, but I’m still not as good at doing that sort of thing as some of you are. The boys were only three years old in this image. If you knew their personalities, you would understand that this image captured them perfectly; to this day, they are just as much their individual selves as they are in this image. I caught a picture of this guy while shooting a wedding out on St. Pete beach a couple of years ago. I guess he thought it would be funny to streak right through the wedding crowd. Well it was. His butt was so white I have permanent blind spots in both of my eyes. I think those two girls farther down the beach hadn’t seen what was running toward them when I shot this photo. Wow, were they in for a surprise! I have more pictures that show “the whole banana,” you might say, but I didn’t think it would be appropriate for a family oriented site like SFD. When I had this film processed, the prints and the images on the CD that came with the prints came out really muddy. I don’t know what happened to the processing, but in an attempt to salvage my images, I had to do some retouching. This is what I came up with. If anyone has any pointers on how I can “un-muddy” my original images, let me know. Streaming Music: “Ultra Violet (Light My Way)” by U2
I love this picture. It is one of my all time favorites of my kids. He looks old, but the smartass grin gives him away. Streaming Music: “These Days” by Rascal Flatts
I grew this rose in my garden last year. One morning I noticed that the light streaming through my kitchen window was particularly interesting, so I took the opportunity to snap a few shots of this beauty. Streaming Music: “Strong Enough” by Sheryl Crow
I forced these Amaryllis bulbs and gave them to people as gifts last Christmas. I ended up keeping some of them because they were so beautiful. Streaming Music: “Sugar” by Tori Amos
