Day 020: Tough Shot

12:00 am in Black & White, Digital, Florida, Natural Lighting, Nikon D90, Pet, Portrait, Project365, Spring Hill by Dorothy Sheehan

She is the sweetest cat I know, but she is the toughest pet of mine to photograph. Everytime I get close, she turns her head.

Life

Breakfast with childhood friends. Will, Bob (pictured) and I have all known each other since first grade. Will and I get together with Bob as often as possible. Usually it’s breakfast early on Saturday mornings.  After taking this photograph, my phone rang. On the other end was my father telling me that my grandmother had died. I then finished breakfast and With Will as my passenger, drove to my brother’s house to break the news to him. The turns Life takes are often very random as deliberate as we try to make them. Good friend’s are important, appreciate them.

January Sun

Believe it or not, I did not pose her for this shot. This is all her–Charlie at her sweetest. Sometimes I have to spend 20-30 minutes standing in the kitchen until they realize that they are not getting a cookie and should just settle down in the afternoon sun and be bored.

The Island Outpost in the Ozello Keys; one of the best breakfast joints that you have to take a roadtrip to get to. 100% worth the trip if you can take it.

Day 014: In Your Eyes

12:00 am in Black & White, Digital, Florida, Macro, Natural Lighting, Nikon D90, Pet, Portrait, Project365, SepiaTone, Spring Hill by Dorothy Sheehan

One of my favorite music artists has always been Peter Gabriel. The song “In Your Eyes” is one of my favorites. Now that my little one is getting better, I got to get some pics of her. Last week I posted pics of her when we were traveling from NJ to Florida. She could not look at me in the eyes. She was very dazed and confused. She would not eat much and she was getting stuck behind furniture. She just came in from the backyard and was playing in the sand with my other dog, Bridie. This is a miracle that she is doing this well. We all thank you for your prayers and good thoughts, SFD!
These images were inspired by Leah and Hank with their prime lenses and macros of their beloved pets. I picked one up for Christmas and I do love it.

This is not the best image, technically speaking. But…. I like it because we were sharing creatively, and well, it was fun.
