The Island Outpost in the Ozello Keys; one of the best breakfast joints that you have to take a roadtrip to get to. 100% worth the trip if you can take it.

I cropped the people photograph because I wanted to see the gentleman’s face on the right. I just love his expression.

Something that keeps coming up in my life. The homeless and the hungry. I recently did a 28 day fast and detox and one week of it consisted of juicing. It was the hardest week of my life.. my stomach hurt so much (in a way I can’t describe to you) that toward the end of the seven days I had to break my fast a day early.

I guess it gave me a better understanding of what hunger looks and feels like. I could have fixed that problem at any point and just started eating. Some people don’t have that choice. They have to rely on the mercy of others. It doesn’t matter how they got there. Going hungry shouldn’t happen anywhere.

I went on this trip and met Chris Gardner (The Pursuit of Happyness.) His story confirmed that even the smartest, most ambitious people can wind up (through circumstances beyond their control) to be homeless and hungry. One can of food can make the difference in a person’s life. Give freely from your poverty as the widow did and He will give you beauty for your ashes.

I was driving by Holy Cross Lutheran Church when they were beginning to unload the pumpkins from the truck. I was told that if I was allowed to take pictures that I could unload the truck, too. haha I got out of there in time. I like the unposed look of these photos and the older man. He kept giving me directions on how to take photos.
