Flower_6

We saw rows and rows of these beautiful flowers at Casa de Santo Domingo Hotel in Antigua, Guatemala.  I do not know what their official name is, but they were so beautiful.

I haven’t had a lot of time to shoot lately, so I have been looking back in my albums. I love this little girl’s expression, as well as her beautiful look. You can definitely see her indian heritage in her face. We stopped in her neighborhood to play games and do a sidewalk show for the kids. I think about 200 showed up out of what seemed to be nowhere.

One day while I was in Bolivia, we took the 64 boys from the orphanage to a local park to play. This little boy took the puppy and a yellow sheet and used a bush to create a makeshift hideout. For some reason, I was the only one he allowed to peer in, and when I did, I took this shot of him peering out.
Listening to: Irreplaceable (the Spanish Version) by Beyonce…its a really fun version of the song and just happened to shuffle on while I was posting a picture from Bolivia.

La Bella

In Spanish “bella” (pronounced bay-ya) means beautiful, which I believe is the perfect word to describe this little girl. Her eyes shine with a passion for life and her smile reveals her love of laughter. She was mesmerized by my digital camera and laughed and clapped when she saw pictures of herself. Her chapped cheeks are due to the dry, cold, winter wind in her small mountain village.

Multiple Expressions

These children are from a small, dry, mountain village outside of Cochabamba, Bolivia. It was their winter, which explains the chapped cheeks and runny noses. I love the different expressions on the four small faces.
