This Chinese war horse was at the entrance of a very fine Chinese restaurant in Ft. Meyrs, FL. My son and I went down there for his orientation to his new college, Florida Gulf Coast University. This was the first trip of many to Buccaneer Bay for the summer. My daughter was so excited to be there that she didn’t even mind the freezing water! (i did though) She was trying to see how high she could kick splash the water. I’m sure there will be many more pictures like this [...]

These little guys fascinate me. They are scarey and cool looking at the same time. I find them here and there in my yard and each one of them seem to have their own unique look and pattern.

Found it under a pile of leaves in the neighbors back yard. As I remember when I was little my dad use to take me fishing, and we used earthworms as bait. Fond memories of old times with my father.

My son and I took a safari in our yard, we found much more than we expected This was one of the interesting finds… a Spiny Orb Weaver Spider. Well, if you ask me I say it looks like a crab stuck in a web. Ha Ha!

These pretty flowers are called Pentas, and the picture was taken at the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. They caught my eye and reminded me of gazing at the stars in the night sky.

This photograph was taken on the Safari to the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo. The Egret was taking a relaxing break to sun his feathers.
