Morning Palate
12:00 am in Automobile, Canon S5 IS, Clearwater, Digital, Essay, Florida, Landscape, Long Exposure, Nature, Safari, Sunrise by David Evans
Zzzzz, I’m sleepy. I’m actually dozing while I’m trying to submit this photo. I went to bed late and then I got up extra early for a sunrise safari on the Clearwater side of the Causeway. Too bad none of you joined me. This was the first time I used my new camera to shoot night landscapes. I did quite a bit of adjusting to the exposure and ISO settings and was able to come up with a few nice shots. Unfortunately, one issue I had was vibration due to the wind. Many of the shots came out blurred. Guess I need a heavier tripod. I’d also like to get some feedback from you experts here on how to improve my photos.
On my way back I stopped on the Tampa side for some more shots. there was a Scion club meeting in the lot on their way to a show in Orlando. The sunrise reflection of the palms on the cars was pretty spectacular. I told the guys they were missing a great opportunity for photographs but they said they were going to take plenty of pictures at the show. Guess they don’t relish the artistic shots as much as I do.
Hope you guys enjoy this mini morning safari.
