If you are wanting lenses for zoom on wildlife, etc, make sure you look at the lenses on the camera you are buying. Also read how fast the camera is and how many megapixels. An 8 megapixel camera can be just as great as a 12 if you don\'t want a camera that is capable of printing out 20 x 30 prints, you can pay for the lower 8 megapixels. It also depends on what you want and for the price. Canon and Nikon are comparable in price. I only chose Nikon for my niece had one and I really loved the way her pictures turned out. I have read that Nkion Nikkor lenses are slightly better. Whether that is true or not, I do not know for I have seen great quality from Canon and Olympus.
